Well, I thought I was 2/2 for Red Rings of Death. I had this rant all typed up, then Kade tweeted back that it was working again. I am going to go ahead and keep it though since it is still generally relevant. I also believe that it is probably a chilling vision of things to come, and the system destroying red ring problem will happen soon anyway.
Anyway, here is the rant:
You know, I hate to be a dick to a company that will take care of its problems, but seriously why is this even still happening? They have had 360s around for freaking years, and they have a fix for the problem yet they continue to make new systems with the SAME PROBLEM. I remember back in the day with my NES, hardly anything could break that system, let alone it breaking on its own. I suppose it could have something to do with the general lack of moving parts, but still. I remember the thing that finally killed my NES back in the day was when somehow Mountain Dew got spilled on and underneath it. It required me to basically dump water on it to kill it, and it was still repaired by Nintendo(for a fee of course). The freaking 360 just randomly decides to stab itself in the brain. Bah.
Ah well Kade still has his 360 we can hook up in the meantime, and I haven't been playing the 360 a ton lately anyway. For some reason I have been playing Oblivion like a maniac. I created an assassin archer-type person, and I just keep going around killing random people and stealing stuff. I tried making a good type of person, but I just couldn't get into it. Having to be nice in that game all the time is crazy annoying.
In other news, I am going to attempt to start doing more with my exercise and such very soon. I have been doing pushups, situps, and squats in the past few weeks - but I am going to try to start running a bit also. I tried about a month ago with Brandon, but I am just too out of shape to keep up with his marine-ness. I am going to try starting with a shorter run at about the same pace, and try to work my way up to being able to run/jog a mile without nearly dying from being out of breath. Anyway, here's hoping!
That is still awesome that you are getting active. Even if you had to start on the knee pushups, you will be able to do regular ones eventually as long as you keep on them. I think being 30 and being as inactive as I have been is a bad thing. I am actually enjoying doing the exercise and such. You should see how much Jer has changed. He started 2 years ago, and now has freaking abs!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and informative. But will you write about this one more?
ReplyDeleteThank you! You often write very interesting articles. You improved my mood.
ReplyDeleteI am actually still doing some exercises and stuff on my own, but I am going to start working on the plan you sent me as soon as I can get to the store and buy some of the groceries you listed. I don't know if I can follow it as exactly as you have it, but I will definitely be giving it a try. :) I also bought an Iron Gym, except it is the one that you can use for situps and other things too. I am very sad to know that I can't even do one pullup yet. :p
ReplyDeleteIt's all good - have fun with it. Otherwise, it will be just another phase...
ReplyDeleteIt took me what seemed like FOREVER to do one pullup, but after I was finally able to do one, I did two, then five - and I stopped there ;-)
